  • Title: Challenges in Facial Expression Understanding

Abstract: As Cicero’s quote, “All action is of the mind and the mirror of the mind is the face, its index the eyes”, facial expression plays an important role in human interactions. It contains some crucial non-verbal information which even the subject doesn’t aware. facial expression not only a reflection of a person’s mind, but also deliver some information from the subject to the others. Therefore, Psychologist works on this topic for many years and tries to understand people better. For above reason, facial expression understanding is a more challenge task as it’s a temporal procedure, contains large variations, and even depends on culture. In this talk I will discuss some challenges in facial expression understanding, and also some of our relevant works.
